The History Committee

The History Committee is a Committee of the Court and exists to encourage the study and promotion of the Company’s history, primarily through its “Heritage Talks”.

Armistice Commemoration - November 2018 - Skinners gathered to commemorate Company members that died in the First World War and to hear a presentation given by Past Master John Hitchins based on his research into the Skinners listed on the Company’s War memorial. You can read more about the Commemoration and see a copy of the commemorative booklet here.

"A History of the Company in 6 or 7 Objects" - April 2018 - As the title suggests the speakers used 6 or 7 priceless Company objects to provide fascinating glimpses into the Company’s history. You can look through the presentation slides here, and you will find the speaker biographies here.
