Are you enthusiastic, dedicated, confident, a good communicator, over 18 and with an interest in education and raising school standards?
Then you may want to consider joining the governing body of one of the Skinners' Company's seven schools.
School governors are responsible for a huge variety of tasks including appointing headteachers, examining how money is spent and scrutinising the progress that students make. It is an extremely rewarding role and the Skinners' Company provides introductory and continuing training and support. This year, we have vacancies across all our schools, if you have a preference please let us know and we will try hard to match you, but we cannot guarantee anything as we have to focus your skills where they are needed most.
While a passion for education is an essential attribute for a school governor we draw our governors from all walks of life. We often struggle to find people with skills in areas such as finance, HR, law, business planning and marketing. If you think you have the required skills and that school governorship might be for you or in the future then please contact the Skinners' Company Director of Education, Tony Wilson on tony@skinners.org.uk for an informal discussion.
UPCOMING VACANCIES 2021
