The Treloar Trust provides education, care, therapy, medical support and independence training to young people with physical disabilities from all over the UK and overseas. The Billesdon Endowment Fund was set up in 1984 to support the needs of young people once they leave Treloar; it is jointly funded by the Skinners and the Merchant Taylors and finances the post of the Billesdon Officer.
The Company supports the School through grants awarded by the Atwell Charity – the Art Memorial Fund founded anonymously by a member of Skinners’ Livery which encompasses the Philip Connard Travel Award and the Awards for Excellence which awards bursaries to students from lower income backgrounds to support the costs of their study.
The Skinners Company Philip Connard Travel Award enables second year students to travel to paint in a particular country or study an artists work in situ.
The Atwell Awards for Excellence Scheme provides bursaries for fees or living costs at Guildhall School of Music, Stella Mann College of Performing Arts, West Dean College Sussex.
